Eighteen years ago, I made a life changing decision which opened up a whole new world to me . I saw everything in a different way and physically felt less weighed down by the world. I went vegan, and to be honest, I had no idea what I was doing. I didn't know how to cook, I didn't understand nutrition and I had never set foot in a health food store. Despite all of this, I was feeling better than I ever . Early on, my family doctor had told me "If you continue eating like this, you are going to end up in the hospital" . It was hard to hear but only because I knew she was wrong. Here I am now, a healthy and happy 36 year old with an amazing vegan family of my own . I let the way I felt determine what I knew was right for me. Over the years , this feeling has been constantly reaffirmed by countless studies. A vegan diet is optimal for a healthy body, the planet and obviously, the animals.
It is my belief that humans are natural herbivores and although we are able to consume the bodies and milk of animals, it is by all means not the optimal way for us to live . My goal is to help get the message out there.
I started printing vegan shirts about in 2011 and started my etsy shop soon after . (www.etsy.com/shop/veganpolice ) Eventually I will be moving everything over to this new website!
All of the items in our shop are screen printed, by hand in our studio in Canada. We live in a little town in coastal British Columbia. We make our own buttons, shoot our on screens and mix our own colors. We only use eco-friendly water-based inks. We only print on Fair labour made clothing.
Vegan Police combines my two passions in life. Fighting for the animals, and art. When I am not drawing and printing, I am spending time with my little ones ; hiking in the mountains and cooking food. This is a family effort and I thank you sooo much for letting me do what I love and supporting vegan business. Go vegan for better world !! xo
